Superb small Victorian Arts & Crafts writing desk in solid oak, featuring a tan tooled leather writing surface, original brass handles and beautifully crafted dovetail drawers. Dating from circa 1880–1910.
This is an outstanding small Victorian Arts & Crafts writing desk, crafted from solid oak and dating from approximately 1880 to 1910. The desk is in very good clean condition with only normal signs of wear consistent with its age. It features a superb tan tooled leather writing surface, which remains in good condition, along with four drawers to the right-hand side and a large drawer above the kneehole, providing excellent practical storage. The drawers feature superb hand-cut dovetails, while the original brass handles are all present and in very good order. This is a beautifully made period piece with plenty of character and would make an excellent addition to either a traditional or contemporary interior. Dimensions are approximately 29 inches high, with a 24-inch kneehole height, 42 inches wide and 23 inches deep. Collection is available, or delivery can be arranged at an additional cost. We carry out most deliveries ourselves using a two-man team and aim to deliver within 10 days of payment.
