Rare Victorian Arts & Crafts solid oak roll top writing desk by Cutler USA, featuring a beautiful original interior, numerous drawers, brass handles and excellent craftsmanship. Recently repolished and in superb condition.
This is an outstanding and very rare Victorian Arts & Crafts roll top writing desk, crafted from solid oak and recently repolished to an excellent standard. The desk features a superb and unusually detailed interior with a large number of drawers, all fitted with original brass handles. The tambour roll works smoothly and the desk was manufactured by Cutler USA, renowned for producing some of the finest roll top desks. The raised panel design is a particularly desirable feature found on superior examples.
The base contains 9 drawers with beautiful original handles and dovetail construction, together with generous legroom. The desk dismantles into several sections, making it much easier to move and assemble. Dating from approximately 1850–1900, this is an exceptional antique piece combining impressive craftsmanship, practical storage and outstanding character.
Dimensions: Height 50″, Width 60″, Depth 36″. Knee measurements: 27″ high and 29″ wide.
Collection is available, or delivery can be arranged at additional cost. We carry out most deliveries ourselves, usually as a two-man team, and aim to deliver within 10 days of payment.
