This rare Victorian Arts & Crafts pollard oak writing desk is an outstanding antique piece dating from 1850–1900, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and timeless character. The desk is constructed from solid pollard oak and is in fabulous condition throughout, having recently been professionally repolished. It features a superb tooled leather writing surface in excellent condition, along with 9 spacious drawers fitted with their original brass handles and traditional hand-cut dovetail joints. The desk is heavy, extremely sturdy, and can be dismantled into 3 sections for easier transportation. Manufactured by Smee and Cobay of London, the desk retains its original maker’s label, adding further authenticity and appeal. With generous legroom and excellent practical storage, this impressive antique writing desk would make a beautiful addition to a study, office, library, or traditional interior. The desk measures 31 inches (79 cm) high, 51 inches (130 cm) wide, and 24 inches (61 cm) deep, with a kneehole height of 24 inches (61 cm) and kneehole width of 20 inches (51 cm).
