A superb small Victorian mahogany writing desk dating from 1880–1910, featuring Sheraton inlay, tooled leather, original brass handles and hand-cut dovetails. In very good clean condition with normal age-related wear. A beautiful compact desk for a traditional or contemporary interior.
This superb small Victorian writing desk is an elegant traditional piece dating from 1880 to 1910. The desk is made of mahogany with attractive Sheraton inlay and features a beautiful tooled leather writing surface in good condition. It has four drawers on the right-hand side and a large drawer above the kneehole, all featuring superb hand-cut dovetails. The original brass handles are still fitted and remain in very good order, adding to the desk’s period character. In very good clean condition with only normal age-related wear, this compact desk would fit comfortably into either a traditional or contemporary home, study, or office. Dimensions: 29 inches (74 cm) high, 36 inches (91 cm) wide, 21 inches (53 cm) deep, with a 24-inch (61 cm) kneehole height. Delivery can be arranged.
